MTRAC Proposals due Sept. 11

The Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Innovation Hub for AgBio located at MSU offers new funding opportunities for the commercialization of AgBio technologies through the availability of Tier II Starter and Tier I Full Grants. MTRAC is designed to bridge the gap between successful academic research results and the point at which an innovation is sufficiently developed, scaled‐up, and de‐risked to enable it to be transitioned to commercial development.

Individual project budget limits are up to $25,000 for Starter Funding and up to $100,000 for Full Funding. MTRAC eligible research projects must relate directly to applications in the agriculture industry, bio‐based materials, and/or vet medicine (companion animals included).

Proposal deadlines:

  • Sept. 11 and Dec. 7, 2017 for Starter funding
  • Nov. 7, 2017 for Full funding.

Visit the MTRAC page (http://innovationcenter.msu.edu/programs/msu-mtrac-program) for RFP information. Researchers interested in MTRAC funding should contact Program Director Karen Studer‐Rabeler at studerra@msu.edu or Program Assistant Melanie Adkins at madkins@msu.edu for more information and pre-proposal consultation.
