Grant Proposal Preparation Services

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies offers a number of services to assist faculty in the development of successful research and education proposals to external funders. Before contacting us, investigators should complete the following steps:


Obtain
information on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs).

Search for other funding opportunities (including charitable foundations).


Inquire within your college or department for any internal resources.

Select the services you need below:


  • Proposal development i.e. writing, data collection, data mining and submission to agencies.
  • Proposal consulting, editing and peer review assistance.
  • Support with creating budgets, management plans, evaluation plans, MSU institutional capacities, support letters and supplementary materials.
  • Consulting (liaison) with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), foundation or federal program officers.
  • Coordination for collaborative, multi-institutional research grant proposals.
  • Assistance with federal funding agency site visits.
