Spartan Ideas

Spartan Ideas is an MSU website maintained by MSU Libraries and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies. It is designed to showcase a continuously growing selection of MSU’s faculty, student, and staff blogs.

A team of MSU librarians “curates” this collection, choosing the individual blog posts by members of the MSU community to re-post – including audio, images, video or text. Each re-posted entry from these independent blogs will contain a link back to the original blog, so you can easily read more blogs by your favorite authors.

  • If you wish to have the curators consider your personal blog for re-posting, please contact Steve Sowards, associate director of the Libraries (sowards@msu.edu).
  • If you need help in starting your own independent blog, contact research@msu.edu. (You might enjoy this re-post from Titus Brown, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics: “Why do I blog?”)
